Like the first two parts the series continues with a string of short stories about the food and those who ate it. Some are new, some are about characters we met earlier. Through these stories we get to see more of the world and the history of Nekoya. Less food porn, more character interaction. If you like the previous parts, …
Western Cuisine Nekoya is truly one of my happy places. Every single volume including this volume are so satisfactory to read. Reading them also makes me incredibly hungry. Volume 3 continues to include bits and pieces seen in the anime as well as all new characters and stories. I love this series so much.
A book that's as warming as the comfort food they serve. Plus a some more world building if you wanted a bit more than food porn.
This series really is so fun and episodic. Its fun to just pick up and read a chapter. They can get repetitive if you read them too close together, but it's still really sweet.
Another good slice of life chill installment 3.75 stars
For a book (series of books) with no real plot... I just can't seem to get enough of them. I very much enjoy the little bits of world building that happen and how the various visitors to Nekoya Western Cuisine are tied together in their world. We actually get to learn something interesting about the Master of the Restaurant to …
I really enjoyed this volume and this series as a whole. It's got gradual world building, talking about tasty food, and characters that are on in many ways familiar yet very different from what you've read in other stories. The anime series does a pretty good job capturing some of the chapters. I hope that show gets to animate more …
I enjoyed getting a bigger picture view of the world. But what brings me back to the series are the different foods Western Cuisine Nekoya serves in both worlds. Each story is a customer or a group of customers, where they've come from, and how the food impacts on their lives. For some it's nostalgia. For others it's a matter …
Would be 5 stars if it wasn't for that vulgar, rude family that celebrated the New Year. Customer or not I would ban people like that, the same with the halflings who don't understand what control is. Onto my next adventure, Happy Readings!!!
Oh my goodness, that revelation was so good! Never saw it coming
I can imagine these other chapters animated.
I get that it's this series' shtick, but I find myself skipping the "wow, this food is so tasty" bits. It's not like I'm missing out on much by doing so, as it's very repetitive. If it weren't for the excellent story telling I would have quit long ago.
This series is a delight as always. I've recently noticed the word choice for each chapter differs slightly depending on who the focus character is. I can't help but find that a charming addition to an already lovely series.
